Tomorrow May Never Come

It remains to be seen how far our nation will plummet into utter poverty and ruination, because of turning away from God’s laws.  A nation cannot trample God underfoot without paying the consequences for their actions.  (Galatians 6:7) “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”

When a country refuses to abide by the principles of a holy and righteous God, and pursues personal gain and power rather than God, that nation will suffer.  Lacking the true leadership of the Holy Spirit is their undoing.

A great responsibility befalls leaders of every nation.  They need the true and living God to bring harmony and success to their leadership and to the people they have rule over.

How can any leader think that their own meager power is sufficient enough to safeguard and sustain them and their people from calamity?  It can’t!  History proves this.  Look at Sodom and Gomorrah.  They turned their back on God and were destroyed by fire from heaven.

The United States of America was founded upon God’s unmitigated truth and has been most blessed of all nations.  But this nation, once under God, has now exalted itself above God and is suffering because of it.

How far must the leaders of a nation fall before seeing the need to have God in their decision making?  Will greed and corruption prevent this from happening?  Tomorrow holds the answer, but tomorrow may never come.  We are well on our way of becoming a second world nation, because of ignorance, haughtiness, a freewill spirit and selfish pride.  We are allowing evil to reign instead of righteous indignation standing against wrong doing.

(Proverbs 16:16-25) “How much better is it to get wisdom than gold; and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver?”  v.17 “The highway of the upright is to depart from evil; he who keeps his way preserves his soul.” v.18 “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”  v.19 “It is better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.”  v.20 “He who heeds the word wisely will find good, and whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he.”  v.21 “The wise in heart will be called prudent, and sweetness of the lips increase learning.”  v.22 “Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it, but the correction of fools is folly.”  v.23 “The heart of the wise teaches his mouth, and adds learning to his lips.”  v.24 “Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the bones.”  v.25 “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”

I believe that God is withdrawing His hand of blessings and protection from this land, not because of hate or revenge, but because of love.  People more readily lift their eyes toward heaven in hard times rather than times of plenty.  (2 Peter 3:9) “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”  Whatever it takes to get our attention, God will allow it to happen.

Christians must cry out to God like never before on behalf of obstinate, disobedient people in order to change the mind of God.  I believe that when Christians band together as one, this unity of belief demands the attention of God.

Christians, in general, have lost their first love, because of complacency and becoming spoiled with plenty.  Did they stand for righteousness when one atheistic woman demanded that Bibles be removed from schools?  No!

Where were Believers when debased men and women sought political positions in government?  Did they cast their vote to prevent it?  Few did.  This is shameful!  Bellyaching after the fact does little when ungodly leaders are taking our cities, states and nation down the path of poverty, while allowing god-less acts against unborn children through abortion.  Politicians and judges have also permitted prayer to become outlawed in public schools and are attempting to bring about a Socialist, Marxist form of government.  Instead of the government working for the people of this great nation, they want the people to be subservient to what they say and do.

When are Christians going to stop cowering to sinful leadership and vote them out of office?  Tomorrow holds the answer.  But I’m afraid if we continue down the path of least resistance, tomorrow may never come, because of the foothold Satan is gaining in key places of government and the courts of our land.

When one person can cause city leaders to fear retribution of a lawsuit if they fail to remove stars and angels from Christmas trees in government owned buildings, something’s wrong.  When they bow to their wishes without a fight is when our rights and the pursuit of happiness fade away.

How far have we fallen?  When are the voices of holy men and women of God going to rise up in opposition and be heard above the immoral few?

When a cross offends a group of people, because of their religious beliefs or lack thereof, and the cross is removed in keeping with political correctness in order to not offend them, we deserve what’s coming our way!  Shame on us for not standing up for Godly principles!

This is America, the land of the free!  The true and living God is our source of strength.  If other nations, religious affiliations, atheists or reprobates want to bring us down to their level of degradation, I say, “Go back to where you came!  Crawl back under the rock from which you slithered and leave our values of Godly living alone!”

If our nation’s leaders refuse to stand for liberty, justice and the American way, impeach them.  Run them out of office.  I’m ashamed that we allow god-less leaders and court justices to set the bar so low that we wallow in the mud of disgrace.  Our passive, uncaring spirit has brought us to this place of shame.  God help us!

Get with it America, before it’s too late.  Tomorrow may never come.  Change begins in me.  It begins in you.  What are we waiting for?
