I Give You Grace

God extends His love to all mankind.  There is no limit or reserve to the depth, breadth and height of this love.  God’s son died on a cross to satisfy the payment for sin, because of love.

(Romans 5:5-9) “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.”  v.6 “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”  v.7 “For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.”  v.8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  V.9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.”

God demonstrated mercy through action-of-deed rather than just a verbal ascent.  This action says, “I give you grace,” because action speaks louder than words.  It is a gift from Almighty God to you and me.  We need only reach out and take it.

Mankind makes it harder than it is to receive Jesus Christ as Lord of their life.  Penance, good works and self righteousness are a few of the humanistic ways of trying to make it to heaven on their own.  But God says, “I give you grace!”

It is not within our ability to attain perfection.  There is no other way under heaven to merit the grace of God.  It is His love for humanity, not our love for Him, that redemption from sin is offered and made available.

If there was any other way to make heaven our home, it would nullify the shed blood of Jesus Christ.  His dying on the cross would be in vain.  God provided one way and one way only; His son Jesus.

No matter what doctrine, cult, or false teachings say otherwise, they are propagating lies.  God’s plan for lost souls did not include our own righteousness.  It is like filthy rags in the sight of God.  And again He says, “I give you grace.”  (St. John 14:6), “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:  no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Satan would have us believe a lie and be damned, but God’s grace is sufficient to free our soul from sin, which guarantees a reservation in heaven.  All we need to do is believe on the name of Jesus Christ and accept Him as Lord of our life, and we will be saved.
